So I moved to a new apt in St-Henri. No workshop to speak of but plenty of space to create one as necessary. I have all the necessary parts to finish all three instruments now. Everything. So all I have to do is be patient until this weekend. Then I'll be alone with my thoughts and alone with my tools and the house has been emptied of crap boxes, so it's as tidy as can be.
For the red tele I have to: put one more coat of finish on the edge, finish the wiring, assemble and test. Total time: 2 hours.
For the Sarah bass I have to: create the pickup ring, glue it, final sanding and finish and do the electronics and assembly. Total time: 5 hours.
For the frankenbass: pickup rings, electronics, edge shaping (still), sanding, backplate, poly finish, assembly. Total time: 5 hours.
For the bar table: assemble the last end-piece, secure outer frame with screws and then plug the holes, route for the table legs, modify the leg platform length, finals sanding, finish in Danish Oil and assemble.
Oh? What's this about a bar table you ask? wait and see when it's done.

Bass Build Updates - General
So I've actually been working on all the basses and the tele. Pics to come.
The tele is red now. With a washed-out black border. It looks pretty hot. I like it.
The tele bass is undergoing many coats of finish right now while I wait for the MM PU template. I'll build a one-off ebony PU ring to make it pretty.
Mine... well... mine's a bit of a hack-job, frankly. I've learned everything from that one, so it's chock-full of mistakes. The latest lesson is don't work with purpleheart unless you have the right tools. It's too darned hard. So I'll be digging out rough holes for the PUs and then building PU rings from veneer. Lessons learned.
There are more projects in the pipeline already. I think I'll do an SX mod sooner, rather than later. We shall see.
